The Manipura District Assembly, held at Worli Nehru Centre on June 12, 2023, was a memorable event reviewing the past year and sharing plans for the upcoming year. Outgoing District Chairman Mrs. Pallavi Choksi presented an overview of the year's events, projects, and finances, while incoming District Chairman for 2024-2025, Mrs. Prerna Raichur, outlined her vision for the future.
Hosted by Zone 1, the event featured stunning decorations by Bombay Queen's Necklace and IWC Bombay Queen's Tiara, adding grandeur to the venue. From our club, VP Siddhi Sakhrani, IPP Jigna Jain, Secretary Gopika Doshi, and Committee Member Bijal Desai volunteered their time and efforts to assist with the decorations.
The seamless organization and the patriotic moment when the outgoing and incoming club presidents were called on stage for the national anthem were truly inspiring. The assembly witnessed the incoming presidents, zonal coordinators of all six zones, and project coordinators, along with their project chairmen, receiving their badges for the year 2024-2025 from the esteemed District Chairman, Prerna Raichur.
It was a proud moment to see Centurion Club President Kavita Waghani recognized for her incoming role and responsibilities as a Zone 1 Project Coordinator for Project Lakshya, under the guidance of incoming District Vice Chairman Lakshmi Singh. Equally, it was an honor to witness IPP Jigna Jain embrace her role and responsibilities as a Zone 1 Project Coordinator for Project Publicity under the guidance of PDC Mita Sheth.
Our Centurion Club President, Kavita Waghani, also won second place in the essay competition held by District 314, which will be featured in the District souvenir. The announcement of a QR code for accessing the digital copy of the District Souvenir was met with enthusiasm, offering everyone a chance to relive the memories captured in this special publication for the centenary year 2023-2024.
The event was enriched by the participation of Centurion Club President Kavita Waghani, IPP Jigna Jain, Club Secretary Gopika Doshi, and Committee Member Bijal Desai, whose involvement added to the significance of the gathering.
